Thomas Edward "Tom" Bailey, age 82, of Commerce, Texas was a member of the club from to June of 1988 till he went to be with the lord on March 6, 2024. His obituary can be found March 2024 newsletter.

Liked to, and had

  • Whined incessantly about things that make or made no sense to me, including weighing rolling stock to become heavier than caissons.
  • Compiled, published, and distributed the monthly club meeting report and Newsletter since about 2012 or so.
  • Even run a train or two on the layout after a lot of help from others on how to do it.
  • Arranged one only operating session. I think only Paul and maybe LeRoy participated.
  • Repaired troublesome track and track switches on main layout.
  • Reworked some layout scenery.

Club Accomplishments, Location 5, the Gym

  • Roy King Layout – Arranged to have club get Roy King trolley layout, refurbished, rewired assisted by Bob T, Ron M.
  • Electron Power Co – built the building.
  • Roscoe – trolley track and overhead, bridge, station.
  • Williamsburgh – city trolley track and overhead, city planner and executor, sketch with building identification. Designed and built the club streetcar line — including concept, track, line poles, overhead wire and bridges. Assembled, kitbashed, or scratchbuilt about half the buildings in Williamsburg. Some came from my home layout.
  • Bldg Maintenance – painted refigerator.
