Ray Y Accomplishments

Ray joined the club in May of 1986 and is considered a founder. He passed on in February of 2019 still a member of the club. He was active at all five locations. His biography can be found in the August 2018 newsletter. Additional information is in the newsletter March 2019.

Newsletter October 2011 — The Williamsburgh city scene was restored with buildings replaced and moved for best fit. Ron and Ray almost finished the city side installation of the station building scenery with curbs and an iron fence. Other Williamsburgh upgrades included grade crossings, substation, tower, and the cbrick station platforms.

2004 — 2019 Ray did many of the grade crossings around the layout. Picture 2006 below.

2004 — 2019 Ray built many items including the Post Office at Hickeyville.

1996 — Ray built an engine house and scene at location 3, 3200 Washington Street.

1995 — 1996 Location 3, the Texan Theatre, Ray helped build the floor.

1988 — 1995 Ray built a module, designated the East & South Interchange, at location 2, 3200 Washington Street. Picture 1995 below.

Ray is still working on getting the crossing perfect. Having something that needs no more attention after you are done is a good thing.

Ray missed the first meeting of the club, the very first meeting. Since he could not attend he asked his friend Paul to attend and find out about what was going on. Those two have been in the club ever since. Ray is putting in a crossing at Roscoe.
