2017 — The following two items are from the Rob D blog

Fri, 2017-11-17 15:26 Blog A long time member of the club has passed on, I believe Thursday the 16th of November. Ed was also a member of the NMRA and involved in some of the special interest groups of the NMRA. He did not get out to the club often but was very supportive and a good friend to all. Ed had several health issues that he had been fighting for the last several years. He was also a modeler who built large scale outdoor locomotives, and cars.

As a model railroader he was an excellent craftsman and well respected by his peers. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of his acquaintance.

Tue, 2015-11-24 22:21 Blog Our man Ed made an appearance at the club. Ed has been a long time member who has very diverse interests in model railroading and in the number of prototypes he is interested in. I am not talking something as mundane as Pennsylvania or New York Central here he looks at many gauges and prototypes from around the world as well as scales. Ed does some live steam and other forms of power that one can ride on as well as HO scale and O and many others. He is presently working on a Garrett Locomotive that is 2 foot gauge in OO scale. The item in question is an etched brass model and in building it he uses several different types of solder that has various melting points, working from highest temperature to lowest.

Ed is one of those guys that builds truly stunning equipment and much of it is stuff you might not have ever heard of. He has also been very busy with his church and lots of goings on there.
