As can be seen here we are moving forward with the idea of operating sessions. Car cards are underway for the rolling stock. The coal train looks the way I like when viewed from a distance the other end of it is out of sight.

Car Cards

Car Cards – The little yellow labels on Paul’s rolling stock on the club layout are his recent effort to prepare for an operating session. Why cards on the cars instead of in one of the little racks around the layout? Well, until the session is planned, you can run the cars around, and where they stop is the right rack!

It can be done

It can be done – Two engineers, Dave and President Paul, mug the camera after completing a session with four trains, each with locomotives and cars belonging to the engineer were simultaneously in operation – without a delay or derailment. The other two engineers were Rob and Tom M. And while the trains in the background just look like a usual yard scene, if you look carefully, all four trains are there, more or less carefully posed for the photo.
