Rob D's Blog 13 November 2018 So in the past year lots has been done at the club house and on the layout. |

Rob D's Blog 11 January 2018 Ron has the static grass applicator, Tom is putting down glue. Things are moving very fast in fact so fast Tom was thinking he was done with the glue twice and had already tossed it out and cleaned up when Ron said he needed some more for a third time. I wish I had made a video of this episode. These guys were a hoot to watch. There was everything in here but nuknuks and Ron telling Tom to pick two fingers. This is what happens when you get guys together that have a sense of humor and enjoy what they are doing. |
Rob D's Blog 16 October 2016 Here is a rather eye catching scene at the end of one of the peninsulas. The center of the scene is a railroad station with subterranean tracks and stores on either side.
It seems to me that folks are always trying to figure out a way to scenic the ends of turn back curves on peninsulas. Here is one way to make the end of the blob with the turn back curves disappear.
No turn back curves visible, and a separate stand alone scene at the end of the peninsula. This scene is also related to the scenes one sees from either side when approaching the end of the peninsula so it tends to blend together very well.
It also helps that a nice display item from the railroad's past is on display in front of the station. |
Rob D's Blog 28 February 2016 Now just to dispel the myths that all we do are carpentry projects I will offer some of Ron's detailing work on another of the passenger stations. He has just planted the lawn and shrubbery around one the station and added some sidewalk and other details. The passenger trains back in underneath this station. |
